My writing samples come from my senior capstone project, ESPN’s The Undefeated, 101 Magazine, the Howard University Athletics Department, Dodgers Nation and The Sports Pulse.
For my senior capstone, I covered the effect that the Covid-19 pandemic had on the 2020 Minor League Baseball season, as I spoke with organizations, players and businesses who had to scramble to survive during that uncertain period.
During my junior year, I worked as a Rhoden Fellow for ESPN’s The Undefeated and served as the Sports Editor and Editor-in-Chief for 101 Magazine. At The Undefeated, I wrote on race, culture, sports and HBCUs, primarily covering stories near Howard University, while with 101 Magazine, we launched an 80-page Spring 2020 edition college magazine geared towards students.
With Dodgers Nation, the Howard University Athletics Department and The Sports Pulse, I wrote exclusively about sports at the local and national levels, covering college and professional athletics on both the East and West coasts.
